In spite of this, Fury Unleashed is still a great little chunk of gun blazing fun worth checking out. The comic book setting of Fury Unleashed makes for interesting use of procedurally generated maps, as each playthrough generates a new layout of panels to navigate to keep things feeling fresh. Fury Unleashed is catered more towards the latter crowd, with an old school run and gun gameplay that's mixed with a healthy dose of light platforming and dungeon crawling elements. JumpnShoot Roguelites with Progression/RPG (like Fury Unleashed, 20XX) I recently played Fury Unleasehd and, while it has some flaws, I liked the combination of fast-paced Contra-Style-RunnGun, the length of a run and the fact that there was a progession-system (the actual progression not so much). Sometimes gamers want an epic saga with a deep story, branching plots, and rich character development - and other times, they just want to blow things up.
